ConArte is a civil society organism dedicated to promoting arts education in public schools, in communities, and to forming new creative, expressive and self-recognition capacities. It promotes a culture of peace to help shape a more equitable, sensitive and inclusive society.

Identity
We consider cultural identity as the basis of the dignity of each person and their human rights. Identity is in the process of construction and change. We create affective learning environments and respect for self expression.
Empathy and Solidarity
Living with those around me allows me "to put myself in their shoes" and "to share, learn and listen". Understanding the contexts in which each one develops is essential to build a "us". Art can develop this sense of empathy and community.
Diversity
Equality
Learning to live with the diversity around me enables me to share
experiences; understanding the context in which each individual develops is
essential for building an “us”. Art can help us develop a sense of empathy
and community, appreciating and celebrating difference enriches our lives.
Peace-building
We create and promote non-violent tools, strategies and behaviors, founded
in the struggle for human rights and equality of opportunity. Using creative
resources and collective, empathetic learning, we strive to replicate our
methods in diverse communities, building resilience, sustainable cultural
projects and citizen-centered security.

Tuve la fortuna de conocer algunas de las escuelas de la Ciudad Vieja de México, en las que ConArte comenzaba, incorporado a sus aulas artistas profesionales para trabajar con los niños.
Allí aprendí algo muy importante: el arte y la cultura que hay que llevar a la escuela, sea culto o popular, como el canal de la presa, no debe escatimar en calidad.

La década que ahora cumple ConArte es motivo de alegría pero también de reflexión. De alegría, porque nos muestra cuán factible es la fértil convivencia, el trabajo conjunto por el bien común a través del ejercicio del arte y la expansión de la cultura. De reflexión, porque abrir un espacio como éste, donde la sensibilidad y la inteligencia florecen, nos permite comprobar que la reconstrucción de un tejido social es una tarea
colectiva que requiere no sólo de un principio, sino de un compromiso que se mide en generaciones. Enhorabuena por este décimo aniversario que es sólo el principio de un futuro mejor.

Conozco el proyecto de ConArte precisamente desde que era eso, un proyecto. Y
orgullosamente puedo decir que he participado en él.
ConArte nació con la buena estrella, producto de la creatividad y el esfuerzo
entusiasta, de una expectativa positiva, con claridad de conceptos y conocimiento,
y como resultado de la convicción de hacer bien las cosas y, lo más valioso, con el
objetivo claro de beneficiar y trabajar en pro de nuestro niños y jóvenes.
